Dog House Lodge was specifically designed to provide a peaceful and enjoyable vacation destination for the pampered pooches of central Florida. From A/C, heat, and DogTV to raised beds, food and water bowls, Dog House Lodge offers a safe & loving "home away from home".
Our "4-Paw" environment doesn't end with luxury accommodations. We also offer our guests canine massage, energy healing, indoor and outdoor play & exercise areas, and a Dog Party room for celebrating your pup's special life events! Situated on 5 securely fenced acres, we offer 4 unique play parks with pools, large sandbox, a tunnel and more.
Unlike a typical business setting that's only open from 8 am to 5 pm, the owners of Dog House Lodge live on property to monitor the safety & comfort of every guest. We offer flexible hours for check-in & check-out 365 days a year.
The owners of Dog House Lodge owned Catnip Trails pet rescue for 17 years and specialized in helping families find the resources they needed to keep pets at home and out of the shelter environment. They were integral in helping to save hundreds of dogs & cats, and even the two resident Lodge Donkeys: Dominick & Jasper.
Dog House Lodge was developed with our own pets in mind - to provide a safe, loving, and stimulating environment.

Meet the Team
From as young as I can remember, most of my friends had fur, and my mom used to joke that my first words were “Look what I found, can I keep him?” I come from a family of animal rescuers, so the apple didn’t fall far from the tree with me. For 17 years I owned Catnip Trails Pet Rescue, saving & adopting out countless pets. And although my wallet was always empty, my heart was always full. I firmly believe that if you follow your passion, you will find your purpose. So with that motto in mind, we opened Dog House Lodge in 2013 to provide your beloved furry friends with the same level of care we give to our own. I am blessed with a husband who supports my dream of being a dog butler (and owning the GRRReatest boarding facility in Central Florida). We share our home with our rescue kitties and donkeys, and our four pampered pooches: Hershey, Willow, Tonka, and Onyx.
Growing up with a large extended family, I've had the pleasure of caring for many pet types including dogs, cats, donkeys, and birds. In 2016, I moved from New Smyrna Beach where I owned a Dog Walking & Pet Sitting business to join the Dog House Lodge team. I currently share my home with a kitty named Beaueee, and two dogs, Rusty Ru and LeeLoo. Dog House Lodge has become an extended pack for us because of all the wonderful guests that we get to play with. My biggest passion is canine grooming & hygiene because I feel the spa services we offer provide physical & emotional balance, and enhance the well-being of your dog.
After working in corporate America in Chicago for 14 years I decided to follow my true passion; my love of animals. In a twist of fate I was fortunate enough to begin working in animal hospitals and eventually a humane society. I’ve never looked back and truly love making a difference in animals’ lives. Originally from New England, I now reside in Winter Haven with my beloved dogs Donatello and Silver as well as my furry felines Apricot, Hugo, Kieran and Matteo. I’m so grateful to be part of the Dog House Lodge team; spending time with all of the dogs makes me smile every day.
